Message from our President

Gordon Hounslow

I was introduced to the Northern Sharks back in 1978 by my father Barry (Bazza) Hounslow in my first appearance as a tiny eight year old playing under 10’s. I automatically fell in love with rugby league and the Northern Sharks. As it turned out, my father would become the first life member of the Northern Sharks and his passion and love for the club was passed onto all of my family. 

The Sharks have always been a family friendly club, welcoming all cultures and all walks of life into our magnificent community. In the 43 years I have been with the Sharks, the club has given me the opportunity to be a player, supporter, sponsor, junior coach, committee member, life member and President. None of which I could have achieved with out this wonderful organisation. I strongly encourage anybody interested in rugby league in the Palmerston, Darwin and Rural area to join our fantastic club and give yourself the opportunity to meet lifelong friends and play the greatest game of all with the best bunch of people around.
